What is TDVR?

Tundish Dry-Vibratable Robot (TDVR) is the most recent Vesuvius groundbreaking innovation. This advanced robot presents a novel approach to the automatic application of a dry working lining in a tundish, offering remarkable benefits to our valued customers.

The Tundish Dry-Vibratable Robot marks a significant milestone in tundish technology, introducing an automated solution for layering the working lining. By employing a state-of-the-art robot, this revolutionary system reduces the need for manual labor in environments characterized by increased dust levels, high temperatures, and potential safety hazards.

Key features & benefits

Unlike its predecessor, the Tundish Spray Robot (TSR), which sprays the working layer through a robot nozzle, the TDVR utilizes dry mass from the renowned TUNDEX family. The complex layering process ensures impeccable repeatability, guaranteeing consistent and precise results with every application.

Throughout the design phase of the TDVR, Vesuvius prioritized reliability and minimal downtime for maintenance or repairs. Its compact design offers exceptional adaptability to cater to specific customer conditions, including various tundish designs. For accelerated operations, the option to connect two TDVR units allows for increased efficiency during the arming process.

Continuing its commitment to innovation, Vesuvius is actively developing the TDVR to enable complete reinforcement of the tundish, encompassing not only the application of the working layer but also the installation of individual elements such as TURBSTOP or Multilayer Tundish Filter.
